May 4 - Scoutrees

We plant trees annually as part of the national Scoutrees program.

Time: 8:15 AM

(we should be done by 10:30 or 11:00 AM)

Location:  Bearbrook Quarry (Lafarge)
1651 Bearbrook Road
Blackburn Hamlet
(across the street from Hornet's Nest Soccer Park)
There should be parking onsite (overflow may look at using Hornet's Nest parking area)

(I typically take the 417 to Montreal Rd exit, turn East (right), then South on Bearbrook (right again).)

The morning starts with a Pancake Breakfast.
Then we join other groups planting 2500 trees.

What to bring:
Spade (small may be easier for a Beaver to handle)
Bucket (to carry trees and/or water)
Rubber Boots (we never know the exact terrain we'll be planting in)
Hat
